1929 Stock Market Crash Chart

I posted this chart early May 2009 at a time when many commentators were saying the recession was ending and recovery had started. As at May 2009, are we at the top of the first bounce (similar to circa Apr 1930)? This chart might help to keep things in perspective. Maybe not. It will be interesting to look back at this post in 6 months and a year from now. How many bear rallies will there have been? Where is the bottom? (Click on the chart to see a larger version).
